The best thing to do is to just use iPhoto for the time being until Apple patches Photos app some day. At the rate they patch OS X Yosemite, it should be some time next twenty years. However to start with I had the familiar error code problem it actually said it was error code Anyway, I simply used a different external hard drive and it worked perfectly. I upgraded to Yosemite on my Mac at the end of April. At first it seemed fine. I felt like throwing the Mac out of the window!

Logging in as a guest worked at first though still very slow but now that has the same never ending wheel spinning going on. Can anyone help me with some advice?
